Periods?
A period happens due to changes in the body hormones. Hormones are known as chemical messengers. The ovaries release the female hormones namely progesterone and estrogen. These cause the lining of the uterus or womb to build up. Then, built-up lining is ready for a fertilized egg to attach to and start developing thereafter. If there is no fertilized egg, the lining breaks down and bleeds. Then the same process happens over and over again.
